Alessi — Delight NZ05 | Hand-decorated porcelain cake stand

There is something ancient yet surprising about the gesture of placing sweets, fruit, or small gifts on a cake stand. Alessi's NZ05 Delight transforms that gesture into a moment of pure aesthetic contemplation. Made of white porcelain and decorated by hand, this cake stand with its generous diameter - twenty-two centimeters - carries with it the lightness inherent in beautiful things: those that do not merely contain, but tell a story. Delight is the work of Nika Zupanc, a Slovenian designer among the most original voices in the contemporary European scene. Her work is known for a sensibility that oscillates between structured romanticism and a modernity that never relinquishes grace. In this Christmas cake stand, part of the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection, Zupanc distills that poetic vision into a form belonging to the tradition of the Italian table, reinterpreting it with a personal, unmistakable touch. The hand-applied decoration ensures that each piece is, in fact, unique. We chose Delight for its rare ability to look at home anywhere: at the center of a festive table, on a sideboard throughout the winter, or as a display object that needs no function to justify its presence. It is the ideal gift for those who consciously collect Alessi objects, for those who love Christmas without giving in to the rhetoric of seasonal décor, and for those who recognize in hand-decorated porcelain a value that goes beyond ornamentation.
