There is something almost tribal about Discolo’s presence on the table: a wide, generous disk whose surface catches the light with iridescent shifts thanks to the orange anodization of the aluminum. The raised rim discreetly but authoritatively embraces the inner space, turning any surface into a focal point. Thirty-four centimeters in diameter and just two and a half centimeters high: an essential geometry that knows how to stand out without raising its voice. Discolo was conceived by Federico Angi as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, one of Alessi’s most fascinating projects of recent years - a journey into the culture of the lathe as a creative, almost ritual act, where material is questioned by rotation and returned in pure forms charged with meaning. The name itself, Discolo, is a play on words: the disk that refuses to stay still, challenging the conventions of the classic centerpiece with its vivid color and its obvious yet surprising form. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies the creative tension we seek: an everyday object elevated into a gesture of style. It is ideal for those who want to bring a lively, spirited color to the table without sacrificing the quality of Italian craftsmanship. It pairs naturally with contemporary interiors and industrial-style kitchens, but it can also intelligently break up the order of a more formal dining room. Project notes: orange anodized aluminum, diameter 34 cm, height 2.5 cm. *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, autumn/winter season. Weight 520 g. Made by Alessi, Italy.
