Alessi — Discolo ITM25 ITM25 GR | Green anodized aluminum cake stand

There is something hypnotic about Discolo's form: a disc that rises decisively from the ground, with a generous, enveloping rim, made of anodized aluminum in a deep, satin green. The turned sheet-metal surface reveals its artisanal nature through the delicate circular traces left by the tool, like concentric waves on a still lake. Holding it in your hands means perceiving an unexpected lightness, almost paradoxical in relation to the visual solidity it conveys. Discolo was created by Federico Angi as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, an Alessi project that celebrates turning as an autonomous formal language, a technical gesture elevated into a design philosophy. Angi transforms the lathe - an ancestral tool of metalworking - into a narrative instrument, capable of imprinting the rhythm of rotational movement onto the material. Each piece in this collection carries the memory of that gesture, frozen in metal. At Stilmobili, we chose Discolo because it represents exactly what we look for: objects that require no justification, that inhabit a space with naturalness and character. It is a stand for those who do not want ordinary stands - perfect at the center of a carefully set table, on a sideboard as a sculptural element, or in an entryway for collecting keys and small everyday essentials. The anodized green finish allows it to fit effortlessly into both contemporary settings and interiors with a more eclectic, richly textured style. Project notes: turned anodized aluminum sheet, green finish. Dimensions 26 × 26 × 12 cm. Il Tornitore Matto collection, Alessi. Design by Federico Angi.
