Alessi — Diva AEA03 W | Aarnio white resin watering can

There is something unexpected and delightful about the object named Diva: a white thermoplastic resin watering can that bears none of the functional banality to which we are accustomed. Its form is sculptural, almost organic, with that absolute white transforming an everyday care tool into a furnishing piece worthy of a desk or a sunlit windowsill. Its dimensions - 28 × 10.8 × 31 centimetres, with a capacity of 150 cl - make it both practical and well-proportioned, light to hold, and pleasant to look at even when it is stationary and empty. Behind Diva is the signature of Eero Aarnio, the Finnish designer who entered the history of twentieth-century design with objects that redefined the relationship between form, material, and visual joy. Famous for the Ball Chair and the Pastil Chair, Aarnio brings to this project - created for the A collection by Alessi - the same ability to make the ordinary poetic. In his hands, thermoplastic resin becomes a noble material, capable of producing clean volumes and surfaces that capture light with discretion. We at Stilmobili chose it because it perfectly embodies what we look for: objects that inhabit spaces with intelligence and character, without needing to impose themselves. Diva is ideal for those who care for indoor plants with the same attention they give to choosing a furnishing accessory, for those who do not separate beauty from usefulness, and for those who want even the act of watering to have its own quiet grace.
