Alessi — Dome ESA06 ESA06 1 | Blown glass Christmas bauble

There is something ancient and precious in the weight of a mouth-blown glass sphere between the fingers: the deceptive lightness, the reflection that captures the light and returns it multiplied, the sense of a fragility that is also formal perfection. Dome is all this - a Christmas tree decoration born from the tradition of glassblowing and completed through hand-painting, each piece unique in its small margin of difference, every curve an unrepeatable signature. The design is by Elena Salmistraro, a Milanese designer and artist among the most original of her generation, known for an imagination balanced between fairy tale, surrealism, and compositional rigor. With Alessi, Salmistraro has been exploring for years a realm in which the domestic object becomes a visual story: Dome brings to the table - or rather, onto the fir tree - that same ability to transform the everyday into something memorable. The Alessi Palinsesto collection, in the spirit of fall/winter, embraces this ornament as a fragment of a broader narrative world. At Stilmobili, we chose Dome because it represents exactly what we believe in: artisanal quality that does not compromise on the designer's vision. It is the ideal ornament for those who view Christmas decorating as a conscious aesthetic act, not a custom. It is given to those who already have everything and kept year after year, like beautiful things are kept. Project notes: mouth-blown glass, hand-decorated. Diameter 4.5 cm, height 10 cm.
