Alessi — Doraff UNS07 Y | Yellow polyethylene seat

There is something immediately joyful about Doraff: that low, enveloping form, that yellow that asks no permission, that plastic presence occupying the space with the confidence of someone who knows exactly where it belongs. Made from a single piece of polyethylene, Doraff is an object that invites you to touch it, move it, and use it without ceremony - yet every centimeter reveals deep thought about the relationship between the body, posture, and the domestic environment. Its compact dimensions (67 × 55 × 28 cm) make it something hybrid: too low to be a conventional chair, too assertive to be a simple pouf. It is a seat that invites you to lower yourself, slow down, and simply be. The project bears the signature of Ben van Berkel and the UNS studio - United Network Studio - one of the most prolific design practices on the international scene, known for an approach in which architecture, design, and systems thinking intertwine naturally. Van Berkel has always worked with fluidity of form and the rejection of typological rigidity: Doraff is a small domestic manifesto of this, an object belonging to the Alessi Palinsesto collection in its spring/summer version, designed for spaces open to visual play and seasonal lightness. At Stilmobili, we chose it for those looking for a splash of color that is also food for thought. Doraff is ideal in a contemporary living room as a chromatic accent, in a creative studio as informal seating, or in a contract space where you want to break up uniformity without sacrificing quality. It is a piece that children will love and adults will not want to give up. It should be noted that the UNS07 Y code is listed as discontinued: a detail that only increases its value for collectors of Italian design.
