Alessi — Double DUL02/32 DUL02/32BT | Double-wall stainless steel bowl

There is something hypnotic about the deep black of the Double bowl: a surface that absorbs light and returns it through the raised decoration, like a contemporary bas-relief engaging with the space around it. The double-walled steel coated with black epoxy resin is not merely an aesthetic choice - it is a statement of intent. The touch reveals an unexpected thickness, a solidity that transforms a simple container into an object for contemplation. The project bears the signature of the duo D'Urbino-Lomazzi, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, among the most consistent and radical voices in Italian design since the 1960s. Founders of the DDL studio in Milan, they have traversed decades of formal experimentation without ever losing their ability to surprise. With Double for Alessi, their language is distilled into an archetypal form - the bowl, the basin, the receptacle - reinterpreted with the industrial precision that distinguishes the manufacturing of Crusinallo. At Stilmobili, we chose Double because it perfectly embodies that boundary we find most fascinating: between function and sculpture, between a useful object and a work of art. It is ideal for those who set a table with precision, for anyone looking for a centerpiece capable of holding the stage even when empty, and for those who consider every surface in the home a composition to be carefully curated. Project notes: diameter 32 cm, height 9.5 cm. Double-walled steel with a black epoxy resin finish and raised decoration on the outer surface. Part of the Alessi permanent collection, designed for the autumn-winter season.
