Alessi — Dr. Skud APS07 G | Starck designer fly swatter

There is something irresistibly theatrical about Dr. Skud: a fly swatter that takes itself just seriously enough to become an object to display. Made of thermoplastic resin in a sober, deliberately neutral anthracite gray, its elongated shape - 44 centimeters of stage presence - transforms one of the most prosaic household utensils into a functional sculpture capable of inhabiting a desk, a shelf, or even a wall, with the same ease as a work of art. Philippe Starck created this object as part of the **A di Alessi** collection, the line designed to make the language of great Italian and international design accessible - without ever compromising on quality. Starck, an undisputed master of formal provocation, applies his poetics of paradox here: taking the ordinary, infusing it with personality, and returning it transformed. Dr. Skud is not a fly swatter pretending to be something else: it is exactly what it claims to be, but with a certain aristocratic haughtiness that never fails to make us smile. We at Stilmobili chose it because we believe that authentic design has no hierarchy: a citrus juicer, a pitcher, or a fly swatter deserve the same design attention as a sofa or a bookcase. Dr. Skud is designed for those who want every corner of their home - or office - to tell a story, even the most unexpected corner. It is the ideal gift for those who already have everything, or for anyone who appreciates the subtle humor hidden in well-made things. Project notes: thermoplastic resin, gray color.
