The raised decoration running across the surface is a silent, almost textile-like embroidery: it transforms melamine — the quintessentially practical material — into something resembling porcelain, evoking its grace without claiming its fragility. "Dressed" is the collection with which Marcel Wanders has redesigned the relationship between outdoor living and formal beauty. The Dutch designer, known for a baroque and visionary aesthetic that blends artisanal tradition with contemporary provocation, explored a fascinating paradox: bringing the refinement of fine tableware outdoors without sacrificing the durability the setting demands. The result is a tableware set that behaves like a precious object yet withstands real life — the sun, the wind, children's hands, and the casual ease of a garden lunch.
