Alessi — Dressed in Wood MW22/45 | Beechwood cutting board

There is something deeply domestic about beech wood: its fine grain, the warmth it reflects in grazing light, the quiet density beneath the fingers. The MW22/45 cutting board from the *Dressed in Wood* collection brings all this to the table, enriching it with an embossed decoration that transforms an everyday object into a small manifesto of style. Forty-five centimeters of generous surface, designed not only for cutting but also for presenting - cheeses, bread, cured meats - with the naturalness that only genuine materials can provide. *Dressed in Wood* was born from the vision of Marcel Wanders, one of the most recognizable Dutch designers of his generation, able to move effortlessly between formal rigor and ornamental imagination. His narrative approach to design - the conviction that every object should tell a story - is expressed here in an embossed pattern that engages with the material without overwhelming it. Wood is not a backdrop: it is the protagonist, and the decoration enhances its organic nature rather than concealing it. At Stilmobili, we chose this cutting board because it represents exactly what we look for: the ability to make the ordinary extraordinary. It is ideal for those who curate their table setting with the same attention devoted to interior architecture, for those who entertain with style without ostentation, and for those who know that even a cutting board deserves a signature. *Project notes:* Solid beech wood with a decorative embossed finish.
