Marcel Wanders overturned a centuries-old rule of tableware design: instead of flaunting ornamentation, he made it discreet, almost intimate - an "introverted decoration," as he himself defines it. The name Dressed says it all: the decoration is like an elegant garment, designed to enhance the contents without ever overshadowing them. Alessi, a research laboratory in the applied arts founded in 1921 on Lake Orta, gave shape to this vision in porcelain, as part of a collection that embraces the entire table - from cutlery to glasses, from the tea service to the tray.
