Alessi — Dry 4180/23 | Castiglioni Long Drink Spoon

There is an almost disarming simplicity to the Dry long-drink spoon, yet it is precisely in that simplicity that all its charm lies. The satin-finished handle slides between the fingers with rare tactile discretion, while the functional part in polished 18/10 stainless steel captures the light and reflects it with that clean, almost liquid sheen that is the unmistakable stylistic hallmark of great Italian industrial silverware. Twenty centimeters of carefully studied proportion: long enough to reach the bottom of a highball, elegant enough never to look like a utensil. Dry was born from the mind of Achille Castiglioni, one of the founding fathers of twentieth-century Italian design, a designer capable of transforming every everyday object into a small statement of poetic intent. Castiglioni applied to flatware the same philosophy that had guided his entire career: start with the function, discover the right form within it, and then remove everything superfluous until finding the essence. The contrast between the matte handle and the polished bowl is not a decorative detail, but a precise semantic choice - satin belongs to the hand, polished belongs to the ritual of the table. At Stilmobili, we chose Dry because it perfectly represents the kind of object we believe in: one that does not shout about its quality, but reveals it through touch, light, and everyday use. It is the ideal spoon for those setting a contemporary table without giving up the history of the design, for those serving an aperitif or cocktail knowing that every detail - even the one invisible to guests - was conceived by someone extraordinary.
