Alessi — Edges ITM06 | Pierced 18/10 stainless steel cake stand

There is something hypnotic about the edge of Edges: a strip of 18/10 stainless steel that transforms into metal lace, where emptiness becomes a pattern and the pattern becomes structure. The stand rises from the table with a sculptural presence - 14.4 centimetres high and 23.9 in diameter - enough to assert its silhouette without overwhelming what it holds. The perforated rim catches the light and reflects it multiplied, transforming any arrangement of fruit, bread or small objects into a still life worthy of a gallery. Edges belongs to the Il Tornitore Matto collection, designed by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc - one of the most refined figures in the European contemporary design scene, known for a language that intertwines formal sensuality and technical precision. Zupanc often works on the boundary between functional object and desirable object, and Edges is an eloquent demonstration of this: it begins as a table stand, but carries with it the grammar of a collector's piece. At Stilmobili, we chose Edges because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting pieces for you: objects that enrich everyday life without requiring any special occasion to bring them out. It is the ideal object for those who inhabit a space mindfully, for those who see the table as an aesthetic as well as convivial act, and for those who recognise in the details - that perforated rim, that interplay of voids - the difference between an accessory and a work of art. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, perforated finish on the perimeter rim. Diameter 23.9 cm, height 14.4 cm. Weight 900 g. Il Tornitore Matto collection, autumn/winter season.
