Alessi — Edges ITM06 BR | Pierced brass-finished steel cake stand

There is something hypnotic about the perimeter of Edges: a border that does not merely contain, but engages with the light. The 18/10 stainless steel pedestal is coated in brass-colored PVD, a finish that lends metallic warmth without succumbing to the frivolity of gold. The openwork running along the edge - geometric, rhythmic, almost arrhythmic - creates a play of shadow and transparency that changes as the lighting varies. Placed on a set table or left alone on a shelf, Edges is an object that does not go unnoticed. The design comes from the hand of Nika Zupanc, a Slovenian designer and one of the most original voices on the international scene, able to move effortlessly between formal seduction and structural rigor. Edges belongs to the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, one of Alessi's most poetic forays into the world of centerpieces: a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship reinterpreted through the vocabulary of industry. The collection carries a distinct seasonality - fall/winter - as if certain objects deserved to be discovered only when the light grows lower and the warmth of the table becomes a refuge. At Stilmobili, we chose Edges because it represents what we look for in every object: the ability to be functional without giving up on beauty, and to be beautiful without forgetting the hand that conceived it. It is the ideal pedestal for those who want to bring a conscious aesthetic gesture to the table - or into the home. For those who collect design as they collect books: with discernment, affection, and a sense of history. Project notes: diameter 23.90 cm, height 14.40 cm. 18/10 stainless steel with brass PVD finish. Designer Nika Zupanc for the Il Tornitore Matto collection, Alessi.
