Alessi — Edges ITM07/21 | Pierced stainless steel basket

There is something hypnotic about the edge of Edges: a continuous ribbon of 18/10 stainless steel that opens into an openwork pattern, like industrial lace capable of capturing light and returning it multiplied. The body of the basket is understated, almost silent, but its perimeter tells a story of subtraction - material becoming void, void becoming ornament. With its 21-centimeter diameter and just 7.5-centimeter height, Edges inhabits the surface of a table or sideboard with the discretion of something that knows it has no need to raise its voice. It was designed by Nika Zupanc, one of the most recognizable Slovenian designers on the contemporary international scene, known for an aesthetic that blends formal rigor with an almost poetic sensibility. Edges was created as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, one of Alessi's projects that best expresses the dialogue between artisanal tradition and contemporary visual vocabulary: each piece in the collection bears the mark of meticulous craftsmanship, in which metal is treated not as a neutral support but as a narrative surface. At Stilmobili, we chose Edges because it embodies exactly the tension we seek in the pieces we offer: the ability to be everyday objects while also serving as small works to contemplate. It is the ideal gift for those who live consciously, for those who love the table as a space for aesthetic care, and for those who recognize the difference between an object bought and an object chosen. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, polished finish with an openwork decorative edge. Diameter 21 cm, height 7.5 cm. Weight 600 g. Il Tornitore Matto collection, fall/winter season.
