Alessi — Edges ITM07/21BR | Stainless steel basket with brass finish

There is something hypnotic about the edge of Edges: a perforated geometric lace that runs along the perimeter of the basket like industrial embroidery, transforming an everyday object into a small piece of architecture to contemplate. Made of 18/10 stainless steel with a brass-colored PVD coating, it captures the light with the discretion of a jewel placed on the table - warm, precious, never ostentatious. Edges was created by Nika Zupanc, a Slovenian designer among the most recognizable voices in contemporary European design, able to move with ease between formal seduction and structural rigor. The piece belongs to Alessi's Il Tornitore Matto collection, a project that reinterprets the manufacturing tradition of the Crusinallo Factory through the language of turning and exceptional metalworking - an ancient craft, an entirely contemporary form. At Stilmobili, we chose Edges because it embodies exactly the tension we love: an object that needs no justification, existing elegantly on the kitchen counter, at the center of a set table, or on the desk of someone who wants every detail to speak. It is designed for those who do not separate beauty from usefulness, for those who, in a fruit basket or correspondence holder, seek - and find - an aesthetic reason as well.
