Alessi — Elisabetto AGJ01 9 | Painted porcelain Christmas figurine

Elisabetto is a quiet, uncanny presence, a small porcelain figure that inhabits Christmas with subtle irony and artisanal grace. Nine centimeters tall and modeled in an almost square format at its base, it bears the distinctive marks of decoration entirely painted by hand: each piece is unique in its color details, slightly different from the next, as happens when the human hand replaces the seriality of the machine. Porcelain, the noble material par excellence, provides a luminous surface that engages with the light of the holidays without ever giving in to the rhetoric of kitsch. Elisabetto was born from the collaboration between Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, a creative duo that Alessi brought into the AlessiPalinsesto project, the collection that reimagines Christmas iconography through the lens of auteur illustration and Italian pop culture. Giacon, a cult figure in comics and surface design, and Jori, a painter and long-standing visual storyteller, bring a rare narrative sensibility to the world of household objects: that of people who know how to create characters, not mere decorations. At Stilmobili, we chose Elisabetto because it embodies exactly what we look for in the objects we select: the ability to be both functional to an atmosphere and the bearer of a story. It is the ideal gift for those who collect design with irony, for those who love Christmas without conventional sentimentality, and for those who want to place something under the tree that makes people smile and reflect at the same time. Project notes: hand-decorated porcelain, dimensions 5 × 5 × 9 cm, weight 135 g. Part of the AlessiPalinsesto collection, autumn/winter season. Design: Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori.
