Alessi — ES16/100 2 | Glass jar by Ettore Sottsass

There is something radically joyful about this airtight jar designed by Ettore Sottsass: the transparent glass that stores and displays, the smooth beechwood lid that closes with a precise gesture, and then those colors - pink, red, yellow - that do not simply decorate an object but redefine its character. Placed on a kitchen counter or shelf, it does not go unnoticed. It is not in its nature to do so. Ettore Sottsass, an undisputed master of radical Italian design and founder of Memphis, spanned decades of design with rare consistency: the conviction that everyday objects can carry cultural, emotional, and even political meaning. This jar is part of the Alessi 100 Values Collection, an editorial project through which Alessi celebrates a century of manufacturing history by bringing together iconic pieces and visions from great 20th-century creators. A living archive, not a nostalgic retrospective. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it perfectly captures what we seek: objects that defy categorization, that escape functional banality without giving up usefulness. With a capacity of 100 cl and a diameter of 12 cm, it is generous in size as well as in color. It is ideal for those who inhabit the kitchen with the same care they bring to the living room - for those who do not separate beauty from utility because they have never felt the need to. Design notes: height 20.5 cm, capacity 100 cl, diameter 12 cm. Natural beechwood lid. Part of the Alessi 100 Values Collection spring/summer collection, designed by Ettore Sottsass.
