Alessi — ES21/77 | La Bella Tavola by Sottsass coffee saucer

There is something profoundly civil about the ritual of coffee, in the small pause that separates one moment from the next. The ES21/77 saucer from the La Bella Tavola collection understands this well: made of pure white porcelain, with its diameter of twelve centimetres, it holds the espresso cup with the discretion of someone who knows their role without needing to assert it. Its pure, smooth, almost luminous surface becomes the ideal backdrop against which the everyday gesture is transformed into a small domestic ceremony. Behind this apparent simplicity lies the hand and mind of Ettore Sottsass, one of the most visionary and contradictory designers of twentieth-century Italy. Founder of the Memphis Group and master of an aesthetic that knew how to play with colour, kitsch, and irony without ever losing sight of the quality of the object, Sottsass chose the path opposite to provocation with La Bella Tavola: formal rigour, absolute white, calibrated proportions. A work of subtraction that reveals his design maturity and profound respect for the rituals of the Italian table. We chose La Bella Tavola for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies that tension between everyday life and design culture that is part of who we are. It is the ideal tableware set for those who want a table setting that speaks a cultivated language without ostentation - for those who entertain with care, and for those who believe that even morning coffee deserves to be served on something beautiful. It pairs naturally with both contemporary interiors and more classic settings, thanks to its chromatic neutrality and the solidity of Alessi craftsmanship. Design notes: white porcelain, diameter 12 cm, net weight 120 g. Part of the complete La Bella Tavola tableware set, which can be coordinated with cups, plates, and accessories from the same collection.
