Alessi — ES22/1 | Sottsass La Bella Tavola flat plate

There is something profoundly Mediterranean in the white of this plate, a white that is never mere absence but a full presence, a surface ready to receive. The porcelain of *La Bella Tavola* - *My Beautiful China* in its international version - carries the quiet grace of objects designed to last: 27 centimeters in diameter tracing a perfect circle, elementary geometry elevated into a cultural gesture. Holding it in your hands when setting the table is already an act of care toward those who will sit at it. Ettore Sottsass, one of the undisputed masters of twentieth-century Italian design, lends his signature to this collection with the same poetic intensity that ran through his entire career - from the design of the Valentine typewriter for Olivetti to the radical provocations of Memphis, and finally to the serene maturity of these objects for the everyday table. With *La Bella Tavola*, Sottsass restores its ritual centrality to the dining table, reminding us that setting the table is a narrative act, not merely a functional one. The porcelain decoration reflects his unmistakable sense of color and form, always in dialogue with European tradition without ever being constrained by it. At Stilmobili, we chose this collection because it perfectly embodies what we seek in the objects we bring in: the ability to transform everyday life without imposing itself, to be recognizable without being loud. It is the plate for those who love setting the table with intention, for those who see the table as a space for beauty even before conviviality. Ideal as a single collectible piece or as a complete service for anyone who wants to create a table setting with authentic character. *Project notes:* Decorated white porcelain, 27 cm diameter, 650 g weight.
