Alessi — ES22/79 | Sottsass La Bella Tavola saucer

There is a geometry of hospitality that Ettore Sottsass understood better than anyone else: that of the perfect circle of a cup placed on a saucer, the suspended gesture of offering and receiving. The ES22/79 saucer from the La Bella Tavola — My Beautiful China collection belongs to that quiet and refined tradition. Made of decorated white porcelain, with a diameter of fifteen centimetres, it is an object that knows how to take its place on the table with the aristocratic discretion of one who has nothing to prove. The white is crisp, the decoration measured, the form a statement of intent about the value of the everyday ritual. Ettore Sottsass, a legendary figure in Italian design and founder of the Memphis movement, worked with Alessi to restore the poetic and anthropological dimension of the table. La Bella Tavola was born from this vision: not a collection of tableware, but a system of relationships between objects, people, and moments. Sottsass knew that tableware carries collective memories - grandmother's tea, Sunday morning filter coffee - and translated them into porcelain with the hand of someone who always viewed objects as extensions of the soul. At Stilmobili, we chose this piece because it represents exactly what we seek: designer creations that do not sacrifice function or beauty. It is the ideal complement for anyone wishing to create a coherent and cultured table setting, or to bring a fragment of Italian design history to the table. Perfect as a gift for connoisseurs, it naturally pairs with the other elements from the same collection. Project notes: decorated white porcelain, 15 cm diameter, net weight 177 g. Alessi spring/summer collection. Can be paired with the cups and other elements from the La Bella Tavola — My Beautiful China line.
