Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa takes the archetypal shape of the bottle - inspired by a design by Leonardo da Vinci - as his starting point, distilling it into a collection of rare formal coherence. Alessi, an Italian applied arts workshop founded in 1921 on Lake Orta, chose Fukasawa to translate meticulous minimalism into crystal, far removed from any concession to the superfluous.
