Why we chose it for you

Firenze was created in 1965 by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni — two of the most important names in twentieth-century Italian design — for the La casa abitata exhibition held at Palazzo Strozzi. Conceived for a prestigious cultural setting, it was put into production by Alessi in 1996 and is now being reissued in new color versions curated by Claudia Raimondo, Alessi’s consultant for color and finishes. Bringing Firenze into your home means bringing in a piece of Italian design history, created by one of the brands that has been transforming everyday objects into small works of applied art for over a century.
