Alessi — Foix 90039 | Round Stainless Steel Tray

A perfect circle that captures the light. Alessi's Foix tray is a reflective surface forty-four centimeters in diameter, made of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel: a material that does not age, returning the world around it with almost moving fidelity. Placed on a set table or left empty on a sideboard, Foix does not need to be filled to exist - its form is already, by itself, a completed gesture. Lluís Clotet, a Barcelona architect and designer among the most refined interpreters of Iberian rationalism, brings to this object the same compositional discipline that characterizes his architectural work. Clotet works with Alessi with a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility: essential geometries, proportions studied with philological care, an elegance that does not seek ornament but finds it in the material itself. Foix - a name recalling the Catalan city at the foot of the Pyrenees - thus becomes a small horizontal architecture, an aristocratic floor of everyday domesticity. At Stilmobili, we chose Foix because it perfectly embodies that borderland between a functional object and a work of art that has always guided our selection. It is the ideal tray for those who love hosting with understated style, for those seeking a centerpiece that does not overwhelm but defines, and for those who know that quality is also measured by the weight an object has in the hand - that extra gram that speaks to the seriousness of its maker.
