Alessi — Food à Porter SA03 G | Gray lunch pot with two compartments

There is something profoundly contemporary about the idea of carrying a carefully prepared meal without giving up on aesthetics. Food à Porter — the name itself is a manifesto — is a two-compartment lunch pot made of gray thermoplastic resin, compact in form and generous in detail. The integrated cooling element ensures the right temperature until mealtime, while the cylindrical silhouette, with its eleven-centimeter diameter and fifteen-centimeter height, naturally fits any bag, backpack, or desk drawer. The design bears the signature of Sakura Adachi, a Japanese designer whose perspective — shaped by the traditions of Japanese craftsmanship and the rigor of European industrial design — has succeeded in translating the ritual of the daily meal into an object of small but genuine poetry. At Alessi, this means not simply producing an airtight container, but imagining an object capable of making lunch away from home a moment of awareness and pleasure. At Stilmobili, we chose Food à Porter because it perfectly embodies that category of objects that inhabit the threshold between function and design culture. It is designed for those who work in the city, study away from home, travel for work — and do not want to give up the quality of what they carry with them, not even in the most everyday format. A refined gift, a consistent personal choice. Project notes: the total capacity is fifty centiliters distributed between the two separate compartments; the gray of the body is a sophisticated neutral, understated without being anonymous. A piece belonging to the Alessi spring/summer collection, currently being discontinued: one more reason to make its discreet beauty your own before it disappears from the catalog.
