Details: Description In the 1970s Franco Sargiani and Eija Helander designed Programma 8 for Alessi, an organic and complete project of small modular and sectional household objects based on the same methodological assumption as the architecture of the international style of that period: the theory of open-system meta-design, suitable for the free composition of infinite typologies. The project, defined by Mendini in 1979 as “the most advanced system of household objects ever created on an international level”, has today been revived and completed by adding to the original functions of cooking and serving also those of conserving and setting the table.
