Alessi — Girotondo AKK04 | Perforated stainless steel basket

There is a geometry of childhood that never ceases to move us: that of the little human silhouettes holding hands, repeated endlessly as if in a never-ending ring-around-the-rosy. Made of polished, precise 18/10 stainless steel, this perforated basket carries the same lightness as a drawing made at school - and yet it is a rigorous, well-constructed object, capable of inhabiting a table with both discretion and character. The perimeter perforation is not merely decorative: it is rhythm, it is storytelling, it is the graphic mark that transforms a container into an icon. Girotondo was born from the vision of King-Kong, the creative duo formed by Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, who in the 1990s redesigned the vocabulary of the Italian table by introducing irony, play, and collective memory as legitimate design tools. The Girotondo collection - which became one of the most recognizable symbols of the Fabbrica dei Sogni in Crusinallo - transforms the stylized figure into a serial module, a visual alphabet that can be applied to trays, containers, and storage items. AKK04 belongs to Alessi's A line, the program that brings together the most representative pieces from the brand's historic catalog. We chose it for Stilmobili because it is one of those objects that require no explanation: those who know them recognize them, while those encountering them for the first time understand them immediately. It is the ideal gift for those who live with intelligence and a sense of humor, for the everyday table as well as for special occasions. A centerpiece that sparks conversation without raising its voice. Design notes: diameter 20.5 cm, height 8.8 cm. Mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel. Dishwasher-safe.
