Alessi — Girotondo AKK05 | Perforated stainless steel fruit bowl

There is something immediately recognizable about Girotondo: that circle of stylized little figures holding hands, arranged as if in an endless dance. Made of polished, precise 18/10 stainless steel, this basket-fruit bowl has the rare ability to be both a functional object and a small domestic sculpture. The geometric openwork along the rim is not mere decoration: it is the heart of a figurative language that transforms the table into a stage. The Girotondo motif was created by King-Kong, the pseudonym behind which Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini worked, a creative duo who in the 1990s redefined the boundary between design and visual storytelling. Entering the "A di Alessi" collection - the line that brings together the most iconic and representative pieces from the entire production of the Crusinallo factory - this fruit bowl became one of the most recognizable symbols of contemporary Italian design, able to engage with childhood and adult sophistication without ever choosing between the two. At Stilmobili, we chose Girotondo because it embodies precisely what we look for in every piece: the ability to tell a story without saying a word. It is the right object for anyone who loves a centerpiece that is never neutral, for anyone who wants fruit to become part of a thoughtfully designed arrangement. Perfect as a tasteful gift, extraordinary as an everyday presence. Project notes: diameter 23 cm, height 12.2 cm. 18/10 stainless steel. A di Alessi collection. Design: King-Kong (Giovannoni & Venturini).
