Alessi — Holyhedrics ESA11 | Decorated porcelain Christmas bowl

There is something sacred and playful at the same time in the form of Holyhedrics: a white porcelain bowl that opens like a geometric flower, its walls unfolding into crystalline facets decorated with intense, symbolic color patterns. Placed on the holiday table, it holds sweets, dried fruit, or simply the gaze of anyone who encounters it for the first time — because an object like this does not go unnoticed, and is not designed to. Holyhedrics was created by Elena Salmistraro, a Milanese designer who is one of the most original voices in the contemporary Italian design scene. Her creative universe draws on an almost visionary imagery, in which geometry becomes a story and color becomes a symbol. For Alessi, Salmistraro has developed a language that combines the tradition of decorated porcelain — with all its history of craftsmanship and artisan care — with a distinctly personal pop and surreal sensibility. Holyhedrics belongs to Alessi's Christmas collection, conceived as a group of objects capable of reinventing the holiday ritual without giving in to the banality of decoration. At Stilmobili, we chose Holyhedrics because it embodies exactly the tension that fascinates us: between function and sculpture, tradition and disruption. It is the ideal gift for someone who already has everything — or for anyone who wants to bring a touch of authentic, distinctive design to the table during the holidays. Also perfect as a permanent furnishing piece, well beyond the Christmas season. Project notes: decorated porcelain, diameter 25 cm, height 9 cm. Designed by Elena Salmistraro for Alessi, fall/winter collection. Piece being discontinued — limited availability.
