Alessi — Itsumo NF07/5 | Porcelain dessert plate

There is a particular quietness in certain objects that seem unwilling to say too much. The Itsumo dessert plate is one of them: white porcelain, a diameter of twenty-one centimetres, a presence on the table perceived more through subtraction than addition. The surface is smooth, the rim measured, the absolute whiteness - not ostentatious purity, but material silence. Placing a dessert on it becomes an almost ceremonial gesture, as if the plate itself were asking for attention to what it holds. Itsumo - "always" in Japanese - bears the signature of Naoto Fukasawa, one of the great contemporary masters of industrial design, capable of transforming simplicity into a form of philosophical precision. Fukasawa has worked for years on the concept of the "unconscious of design": objects that function so naturally they seem to have always existed, that do not intrude but accompany. In this plate for Alessi, that philosophy translates into a form that does not need to be explained, only experienced. The dialogue between Alessi's Italian manufacturing tradition and Fukasawa's Japanese formal sensibility produces something rare: a universal object. At Stilmobili, we chose Itsumo because it embodies exactly what we look for when we talk about designer tableware: not decoration for its own sake, but a form that elevates the everyday. It is the ideal plate for those who love to host with style without ostentation, for those who know the difference between a beautiful object and the right object. It fits naturally into both a formal table setting and an informal lunch among discerning friends. Project notes: White porcelain, diameter 21 cm, height 2 cm. Net weight 450 g.
