Alessi — JM14/35 JM14/35 BT | Black Jasper Morrison round tray

A perfect circle. Black, austere, silent. Jasper Morrison's JM14/35 tray for Alessi presents itself as an object that knows its place in the world: a steel disk coated in epoxy resin, 35 centimeters in diameter, with a barely perceptible depth of three centimeters - enough to contain without ever holding captive. The raised decoration on the surface is the only ornamental gesture allowed - subtle, almost whispered, like a signature traced with a light hand on a sheet that was already beautiful on its own. Jasper Morrison is among the most respected designers of his generation: British, trained between London, Berlin, and Tokyo, he has made the concept of "super normality" his defining aesthetic. Not an absence of form, but the right form - one that does not disturb, impose itself, or do anything more than simply work and endure. With Alessi, Morrison found a partner capable of bringing this philosophy into industrial production without betraying its essence. The JM14 tray is a clear example of this dialogue: an everyday object elevated into a small piece of domestic architecture. We at Stilmobili chose it for those who believe that good design should not shout. It is the ideal tray for anyone who furnishes contemporary spaces intelligently, and for those who love to gather fragrances, candles, or small everyday objects on the coffee table without sacrificing a precise aesthetic sensibility. The matte black complements any palette, from pure white to dark wood, without ever overpowering it. Design notes: steel coated with epoxy resin, black finish with raised decoration. Diameter 35 cm, height 3 cm. Net weight 1.13 kg. Alessi Fall/Winter collection.
