Alessi — Kuru Kuru ITM11 | Turned stainless steel pitcher

There is something hypnotic about the way Kuru Kuru captures the light. Made from 18/10 stainless steel spun on a lathe, this carafe brings every mark of the manufacturing process to the surface as though it were a deliberate decorative element: the lathe’s fine concentric striations transform the metal into something almost organic, warm despite its industrial nature. Standing 22.3 centimetres tall with an elegantly vertical profile, it has the quiet presence of objects that need no explanation. Kuru Kuru was conceived by Naoto Fukasawa, the Japanese master of essential design, and belongs to Alessi’s *Il Tornitore Matto* collection — a project that celebrates turning as an autonomous aesthetic language, restoring artisan dignity to a mechanical process. Fukasawa, known for his ability to find the quietest and most necessary form for things, applies his philosophy of “design without thought” here: objects that let themselves be used without demanding attention, but that, once noticed, are never forgotten. At Stilmobili, we chose Kuru Kuru because it embodies exactly the balance we seek: it is not an object that wants to amaze, but one that knows how to surprise. It is ideal for those who set a table with rigor and personality, for those who like every element in the kitchen or dining room to have a story to tell without shouting. A refined gift, a designer accent for contemporary or wabi-sabi interiors. *Project notes:* 18/10 stainless steel spun on a lathe. Height 22.30 cm, diameter 10.00 cm. Net weight 580 g.
