Alessi — La Stanza dello Scirocco | Steel Centerpiece

Alessi "La Stanza dello Scirocco" - Geometries in unstable equilibrium

There is something hypnotic about the way the steel tiles intertwine, overlap, and balance on the edge of a form that still seems to be in motion. La Stanza dello Scirocco springs from an abstract, suspended atmosphere - a magical place translated into material - and brings that same silent, geometric, unresolved tension to the center of the table.

Why we chose it for you

Since 1921, Alessi has been a research laboratory in the field of applied arts, capable of transforming everyday objects into pieces of material culture. La Stanza dello Scirocco, designed by Mario Trimarchi, is the synthesis of this vision: small steel tiles welded by hand and arranged in a deliberately unstable balance. Not a decorative centerpiece in the conventional sense, but an object that engages with the space around it.

Ideal for

A gift for anyone who collects objects capable of holding a room in rapt attention. A piece for the living room, on a sideboard or low table, wherever you want to introduce a sculptural presence without weighing down the space.
