Alessi — La Stanza dello Scirocco MT02 B | Black steel fruit bowl

There is something ancient and Mediterranean in the form of *La Stanza dello Scirocco*: a bowl that seems to have emerged from a potter's gesture, from the circular movement of hands shaping clay, translated here into the industrial rigor of steel and the chromatic depth of an epoxy-resin black finish. Black is not absence; it is presence: it absorbs the room's light, engages in dialogue with the fruit placed inside - its vivid colors exploding by contrast - and transforms an everyday gesture such as bringing a fruit bowl to the table into a small aesthetic act. Mario Trimarchi - Sicilian designer, founder of the Fragile studio, and one of the most original poetic voices in Alessi's orbit - has built a story of warm wind and inner space around this object. The sirocco is the wind that changes the mood of things, carrying sand and memories from the south. In the tradition of the grand residences of southern Italy, the sirocco room was a place of refuge and contemplation. Trimarchi translates that sense of suspension into an object that inhabits the table with both discretion and authority. At Stilmobili, we chose this piece because it perfectly embodies that tension between function and storytelling that we seek in the products we carry. *La Stanza dello Scirocco* is ideal for those who want every corner of their home to tell a story: it belongs in the kitchen of someone who cooks with intention, at the table of someone who sets it as though composing a scene.
