Alessi — Lunar Eclipse 5050SET I | Sottsass Mixology Set in 18 Steel

There is something ritualistic about preparing a cocktail: measuring the liquor, the ice yielding to the cold metal, the sound of the shaker mixing and transforming. The Lunar Eclipse set accompanies this ritual with four tools designed for the uncompromising home bar - a Boston shaker, strainer, muddler, and jigger - all made of 18/10 stainless steel, a material that Alessi has made a universal language of enduring quality. The surfaces reflect the light in an almost lunar way, with that controlled shine that does not shout but whispers. Behind this set is the signature of Ettore Sottsass, a monumental figure in twentieth-century Italian design, founder of Memphis and tireless interpreter of an idea of the object that is unafraid of color, form, and provocation. Here, in collaboration with Alberto Gozzi, Sottsass instead chooses the path of essentiality: clean forms, calibrated proportions, a rigor that is not coldness but rather radical elegance. A rare exercise for a master accustomed to visionary excess, and perhaps for this very reason even more precious. At Stilmobili, we chose Lunar Eclipse because it represents the meeting point between design culture and taste culture. It is the ideal gift for those who collect objects with a soul, for mixology enthusiasts who want their home bar to match a good cocktail bar, and for anyone who will not settle for an anonymous tool when they can own a piece designed by one of the greats of Italian design. Project notes: the set belongs to the Alessi autumn/winter palimpsest collection. 18/10 stainless steel ensures corrosion resistance and food hygiene over time. Net weight 1.236 kg: a solidity you can feel in your hand, reassuring as a serious tool should be.
