Alessi — Mami | Multi-Size Lid Giovannoni Design

Alessi Mami - The Lid That Brings Ancient Warmth to the Modern Table

There is something familiar about the rounded profile of the Mami lid: it evokes the memory of ancient terracotta pots, those generous vessels that for centuries have held slow-cooked dishes and the aromas of home cooking. Stefano Giovannoni reinterprets that archetypal form in polished stainless steel, giving it contemporary elegance without losing any of its homely, reassuring character.

Why We Chose It for You

Alessi was founded in 1921 in Crusinallo, on Lake Orta, as a Piedmontese artisan workshop, and for over a century has collaborated with leading international designers to transform everyday objects into small projects of material culture. The Mami lid embodies this vision: it is not a neutral accessory, but a distinctive piece that expresses a clear perspective on how we inhabit the kitchen.
