Alessi — Mami SG200/20 | 18/10 stainless steel lid

There is something deeply reassuring about recognizing a lid before the pot itself. The Mami SG200/20 is exactly that: a presence, a signal. The mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel reflects the kitchen upside down, distorted and luminous, as if the cooktop had become a theatrical backdrop. The knob, the curve of the rim, the weight calibrated between the fingers - everything conveys a level of care that goes beyond function. Stefano Giovannoni conceived the Mami collection in the early 2000s as an organic reinterpretation of the classic cookware set. The name itself - Mami - evokes the kitchen as an act of love, as the passing down of domestic knowledge. Giovannoni, a master of emotional design and already the creator of iconic pieces for Alessi, worked with soft, enveloping forms inspired by the lines of postwar Italian kitchenware, translating them into a contemporary language without nostalgia. The result is a collection that does not age because it does not belong to any specific era. At Stilmobili, we chose Mami because it represents the point where design enters everyday life without asking permission. This 20 cm lid is intended for those who furnish their kitchen with the same attention given to the living room - for those who know that a well-made object should not be hidden, but displayed. Ideal as an addition to an existing Mami cookware set or as the first step toward a truly designed kitchen. Project notes: 20 cm diameter, compatible with Mami line cookware. Polished 18/10 stainless steel. Net weight 420 g. Alessi collection spring/summer lineup.
