Alessi — Mami SG300 | 18/10 stainless steel colander

There is something deeply familiar about the Mami colander: its round and generous shape, the gleam of 18/10 stainless steel in the kitchen light, and its reassuring solidity in the hands. It is not simply a tool for draining pasta - it is an object that transforms an everyday gesture into a moment of small, authentic domestic beauty. Its well-proportioned dimensions, 21 cm in diameter and almost 18 cm high, make it an ideal complement to the cookware in the same collection, designed to work in harmony with the entire Mami family. Stefano Giovannoni designed this piece as part of one of the most ambitious projects ever conceived by Alessi: the Mami collection, a complete cookware service that reinterprets the archetypes of Italian cuisine with a formal language that is both modern and affectionate. Giovannoni, a master of emotional design and the founder of a creative vision that blends memory, irony, and technical perfection, has built a coherent universe around Mami in which each piece engages with the others to create a visually unified and functionally impeccable kitchen. At Stilmobili, we chose Mami because it perfectly embodies what we look for in the products we carry: the ability to elevate the ordinary without ever compromising usability. It is the right gift for those who love to cook with an eye for aesthetics, for those setting up a new kitchen with intention, and for those who want every object on the stove or worktop to have a story to tell. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, dimensions 26 × 21.5 × 17.8 cm, diameter 21 cm, weight 1.225 kg. Part of the Mami collection, designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Alessi.
