Alessi — Mami SG38/15 | 18/10 stainless steel cake server

There is something deeply ritualistic about the act of serving a cake. Alessi's Mami cake server transforms it into a moment of grace: a soft-to-the-touch handle, an 18/10 stainless steel blade with a discreet sheen, and proportions designed to respond naturally to the hand holding it. Twenty-four and a half centimetres of thoughtfully designed form, in which nothing is superfluous and nothing is missing. The Mami collection stems from the vision of Stefano Giovannoni, a Florentine designer among the most recognizable figures in contemporary design. For Alessi, Giovannoni created a universe of tableware objects capable of combining an almost anthropomorphic softness - that sinuosity vaguely recalling the curves of the human body - with the industrial precision of expertly crafted steel. Mami is a complete, coherent family that transforms the table into a formal landscape with its own identity. At Stilmobili, we chose Mami because it perfectly embodies that boundary between auteur design and everyday object that defines us. It is the ideal service for those who refuse to compromise: those who furnish their kitchen with the same rigor with which they choose a sofa, those who consider the table a compositional space, those who seek in the act of Sunday lunch a small, conscious ceremony of beauty. Project notes: The SG38/15 cake server is made of 18/10 stainless steel, ensuring resistance to corrosion and lasting shine. Overall length: 24.50 cm. Lightweight at 177 grams for a light, balanced grip. Dishwasher safe. An integral part of the Mami system, it can be combined with the full range of cutlery and table accessories designed by Giovannoni for Alessi.
