Alessi — Mami SG503 | Forged steel bread knife

In the kitchen as in the domestic space, there are objects that transcend their function to become a presence. Alessi's Mami bread knife is one of them: a forged, satin-finished AISI 420 stainless steel blade, with a fluid silhouette that flows from tip to handle without any perceptible interruption. The satin finish captures the light discreetly, returning a soft reflection that suits both a professional kitchen and a carefully set table. Thirty-five centimeters of balance, form, and material. Mami was created by Stefano Giovannoni, a Tuscan designer among the most recognizable figures in the contemporary Italian design scene, capable of bringing to Alessi collections a formal vocabulary rooted in organicism - curves that evoke the body, nature, and gesture. The Mami collection is a family of cutlery and kitchen accessories designed to live together, in a coherent system that combines ergonomic handles with elegant profiles. Each piece is designed to last over time, not only through the solidity of its material, but also through its ability never to grow old aesthetically. We chose the Mami SG503 knife because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting an object for Stilmobili: quality that does not need to announce itself. It is the ideal complement for those who have already made a precise choice in the kitchen - those who do not want anonymous tools on the counter, those who consider cooking part of a broader culture of living well. It pairs naturally with the other pieces in the Mami collection, but also knows how to stand on its own, with the confidence of someone who has nothing to prove. Design notes: forged AISI 420 steel blade, satin finish. Total length 35 cm. Suitable for everyday use and for the table. Designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Alessi.
