Alessi — Mami SG56/PEN B | Ceramic fondue saucepan

There is something deeply convivial about a fondue casserole: it asks us to sit around it, to wait, to talk. Alessi's Mami SG56/PEN B brings this ritual into a form that looks at home on even the most refined table. Made of ceramic, this long-handled casserole stands out for its generous body - twenty-four centimeters in diameter, with a capacity of 260 centiliters - which welcomes heat as naturally as it retains it, releasing it slowly into the heart of the preparation. The Mami collection is one of Stefano Giovannoni's most iconic creations for Alessi. A Tuscan designer and one of the most prolific and recognizable figures on the international design scene, he is capable of combining pop aesthetics and formal refinement in objects that always seem to have lived in our kitchens. Mami was created as a complete cookware system - an all-encompassing, almost familial project, in the most literal sense of the term - designed for those who do not want to separate function from beauty, or the kitchen from the living room. We at Stilmobili chose this piece because it conveys a vision of cooking as a cultural act, not merely a practical one. It is the ideal gift for those who love to entertain in style, for those who set the table as they would furnish a room, and for those who seek an aesthetic coherence in every household object that goes beyond the taste of the moment. Marked as discontinued, this casserole also has the discreet charm of something that will not be renewed: a piece to find, not put off. Project notes: ceramic, diameter 24 cm, capacity 260 cl, net weight 2.190 kg. Mami collection, designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Alessi. Fall/winter range. Discontinued.
