Alessi — Mami | Porcelain Coffee Cup Saucer

Alessi Mami — Tradition Returning to the Table

There is something reassuring about a small coffee cup resting on a saucer that seems to have come straight from a memory. Alessi's Mami line was born from exactly this feeling: the desire to rediscover the harmony of classic forms, reinterpreted with the precision and sensitivity of a brand that has been transforming everyday objects into small works of applied design for over a century.

Why we chose it for you

Founded in 1921 on Lake Orta, Alessi describes itself as a research laboratory in the applied arts - not merely an industry. The Mami collection, designed by Stefano Giovannoni, represents a turning point in the designer's creative vision: having moved beyond the playful streak that made him famous in the 1990s, Giovannoni embarked here on a quest for classicism and archetypal forms, expressed through his unmistakable sense of harmony. The result is a tableware line that is both contemporary and timeless.
