Alessi — Maya 7320/20PGR | Iridescent steel round basket Purplegre

There is something almost mineral in the way light settles on Maya. The round steel wastebasket, coated with iridescent-effect resin in the Purplegreen variant, changes hue depending on the angle and time of day: from deep purple to aquatic green, with shades that seem to come from within the material rather than from its surface. A diameter of twenty centimeters, a compact height of seven and a half - simple forms that become a pretext for a sophisticated chromatic play, capable of enlivening any horizontal surface. Maya is a design by Giulio Confalonieri, a historic figure in Italian design and creator of objects that interpret everyday life with irony and formal rigor. Over the years, Confalonieri developed a recognizable aesthetic for Alessi, in which function is never sacrificed for elegance, but the two mutually reinforce each other. In Maya, this balance is expressed through the decision to treat color as a living, unstable material that transforms a household accessory into a small visual event. The collection is part of Alessi's spring-summer offering, a season in which the Crusinallo Factory traditionally explores the brightest and most playful possibilities of tabletop design. We chose Maya for those who consider the home a place of continuous aesthetic care, where even the wastebasket on the kitchen counter or the organizer on the desk deserves to be thoughtfully designed. It is the ideal gift for those who love authentic Italian design and are not looking for ostentation, but for the quiet quality of an object that surprises you every time you look at it from a different angle. Project notes: steel with iridescent resin coating, Ø 20 cm, h 7.5 cm, net weight 500 g. Available in the Purplegreen color variant.
