Alessi — Mediterraneo ESI03 | 18/10 steel napkin holder

There is something immediately familiar about the Mediterraneo, yet each time you look at it, you discover a new detail. The ESI03 napkin holder is an object with a discreet yet confident presence: made of polished 18/10 stainless steel, it rests on the table like a small fragment of marine architecture — its mirrored surface captures the light, holds it, and reflects it differently depending on the time of day. Its proportions — twelve centimeters of opening, just over three centimeters in depth, and almost nine centimeters in height — define a formal balance that needs no display to assert itself. The design bears the signature of LPWK – Emma Silvestris, a creative studio that has mastered the art of subtraction: no decorative element for its own sake, no concessions to redundancy. The result is a form rooted in the tradition of Italian industrial design while intelligently addressing everyday life, those objects used every day without losing their visual appeal. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection, the Mediterraneo reflects the brand's ability to transform even the most functional detail into a moment of material culture. We chose it because it represents exactly what we look for when setting a table: objects that do not shout, but are recognizable. It is ideal for those who approach table setting as they would an installation, for those who know that a paper napkin can have its dignity if supported in the right way. It pairs naturally with both a formal mise en place and a Sunday lunch in the countryside.
