Alessi — MJ16 4 | Painted porcelain Christmas hot-air balloon

There is something intrinsically poetic about the idea of a hot-air balloon rising lightly among the branches of a Christmas tree. Alessi's MJ16 4 decoration translates this fantasy into hand-decorated white porcelain, with the artisanal care that transforms a seasonal object into a small jewel to be preserved and passed down. The white ceramic material provides a neutral backdrop for the painted decorations, which bring with them the vitality and irony typical of their creator's visual universe. Behind this ornament is the signature of Marcello Jori, a Bolognese artist with an eclectic and visionary career, always balancing illustration, painting, and communication design. His contribution to the Alessi collection brings a fairytale-like perspective on the world, capable of re-enchanting even the most everyday objects. The hot-air balloon - the quintessential romantic symbol of adventure and wonder - becomes, in his hands, a vehicle for storytelling, a fragment of a tale suspended in the time of childhood and celebration. At Stilmobili, we chose this decoration because it embodies exactly what we look for when selecting objects for our seasonal collections: not mere gift items, but pieces that speak of design culture even when they adorn a Christmas tree. It is intended for those who believe that Christmas deserves the same aesthetic attention given to the rest of the home throughout the year. Project notes: Hand-decorated porcelain. Height 12.5 cm, diameter 7.2 cm. Weight 211 g. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection, designed by Marcello Jori.
