Why we chose it for you

Mario Trimarchi, a Sicilian architect, developed this design from memories and visual fragments: the geometries of the traditional moka pot merge with the irregular facets of obsidian, the sharp black lava stone of his homeland. Alessi - an Italian applied arts workshop founded in 1921 on Lake Orta - transformed this vision into an object cast in polished aluminum, where the material reflects light with the same intensity as a raw mineral. It is not just a coffee maker: it is a story compressed into a form.
