Alessi Joy n.11 — When Steel Becomes Light

Placing it on the table is already an aesthetic gesture. Claudia Raimondo's Joy round basket captures light and reflects it back multiplied, thanks to a faceted surface that turns every angle into a different reflection. It is not simply a container: it is an object that changes with the time of day, the season, and the person looking at it.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop and gradually became a center of excellence in the applied arts, capable of transforming everyday objects into pieces of design culture. The Joy basket belongs to this tradition: designer Claudia Raimondo works the sheet steel using a contemporary stamping technique that shapes form and decoration together. The geometric texture evokes the blocks of the digital world while retaining a fluid, almost organic aura - as if the metal had been captured in a moment of natural movement. The intense blue adds a bold chromatic presence, capable of complementing neutral interiors or bringing vibrancy to already distinctive table settings.

Ideal for

A thoughtful gift for anyone who loves design as part of everyday life. On the kitchen counter, it discreetly and elegantly holds fruit, bread, or small objects; at the center of a set table, it becomes a decorative element in its own right. It is also perfect as a housewarming gift, carrying with it the full history and vision of a brand that has made functional beauty its raison d'être.
