Alessi — Nomu NF04 | Double-wall thermos Naoto Fukasawa

There is something profoundly right about Naoto Fukasawa's Nomu: the hand recognizes it even before the eye has fully registered it. Cylindrical, essential, with just the right tension between 18/10 stainless steel and the thermoplastic resin coating, the NF04 thermos has the calibrated weight of an object designed to feel good in the hand, in a backpack, in the most authentic everyday life. Twenty-seven centiliters of capacity — the right measure for a long espresso or tea to take with you — enclosed in a form that does not demand attention but knows how to hold it. Naoto Fukasawa is one of the most influential Japanese designers of his generation, known for a design practice he calls "design without thought" — an approach in which the ideal object is one that merges with the gesture, disappearing in use. With Alessi, the Crusinallo manufacturer that for decades has transformed design culture into objects for everyday use, Fukasawa finds a partner capable of giving industrial form to this subtle philosophy. The Nomu emerges precisely from this dialogue: no superfluous decoration, no detail that calls attention to itself. At Stilmobili, we chose the Nomu because it embodies a rare category: that of the travel object that does not compromise formal dignity. It is ideal for those who carry an aesthetic sensitivity with them even outside the home, for those who recognize in design not ornamental luxury but a form of respect for the time and gestures of everyday life. A gift of great intelligence, for oneself or for someone who knows how to appreciate the difference. Project notes: height 20 cm, diameter 6.4 cm. Double-walled 18/10 stainless steel with an external thermoplastic resin coating. Capacity 27 cl. Net weight 448 g. Alessi collection, spring/summer program.
