Alessi — Nomu NF05 | Naoto Fukasawa insulated carafe

There is something meditative about the act of pouring. Nomu - which in Japanese literally means "to drink" - transforms this everyday act into a moment of mindful presence. The NF05 thermal-insulated carafe has a silhouette that seems born from the meeting of two cultures: the formal precision of European industrial design and the tactile sensitivity of Japanese tradition. The polished 18/10 stainless steel reflects its surroundings with the discretion of a pool of water, while the thermoplastic resin covering the body provides a secure grip and a pleasing material contrast. The double wall maintains the temperature of beverages - tea, coffee, herbal teas - preserving their essence over time. Naoto Fukasawa is one of the most influential designers in the contemporary design scene: born in Kofu in 1956, he refined his artistic vision between Tokyo and San Francisco before collaborating with the world's most important design brands, including Alessi, Muji and B&B Italia. His approach, known as "design without thought", seeks that border zone where the object disappears in use, becoming a pure extension of the human gesture. Nomu is the perfect embodiment of this philosophy: it does not impose itself, it accompanies. We chose Nomu for its ability to inhabit any setting with the same grace - a contemporary kitchen, a formal table, a representative office.
