Alessi — Parade AM23A AM23A 30 | Mendini corkscrew in AlkiPaper® croma

There is something festive about opening a bottle with this corkscrew. "Parade" is not merely a name: it is an intention, an invitation to ritual. The AlkiPaper® body — a composite material patented by Alessi that combines lightness with the tactile solidity of a living material — wraps around a polished chrome-plated zama structure, creating a visual contrast between the chromatic softness of the decorated surface and the metal precision of the mechanism. In the hand, the weight feels just right: never too much, never too little. For decades, Alessandro Mendini was the critical and ironic conscience of Italian design. First editor of Casabella and later of Domus, theorist of Radical Design and Alchimia, Mendini transformed his collaboration with Alessi into one of the most fruitful partnerships in the history of contemporary design. "Parade" belongs to the collection that bears his name — AM —, a universe of objects in which decoration is not an afterthought but an autonomous language. The graphics covering this corkscrew are by Arthur Arbesser, a Viennese designer with a refined textile and color sensibility, capable of engaging with Central European tradition without ever seeming nostalgic. At Stilmobili, we chose "Parade" because it perfectly embodies what we look for when selecting a table accessory: not a functional object disguised as something beautiful, but a piece that transforms an everyday gesture into a small cultural act. It is the ideal gift for those who love wine and design in equal measure, for those who arrange a kitchen as carefully as they curate a collection. Design notes: height 21 cm, diameter 6 cm, weight 310 g. Materials: AlkiPaper® and chrome-plated zama. Decoration: Arthur Arbesser. Alessandro M. by Alessi collection.
